The lagoons of Grado and Marano constitute a birdlife oasis of considerable value.
In addition to being a landscape of great charm, where time seems to have stopped, they give shelter to various species of fish and birds, some of which are rare and protected, and to the last fishermen of the lagoon, whose presence is testified by the characteristic huts covered with straw, the so-called “casoni”.
In Marano you can admire the fifteenth-century patriarchal tower and in the vicinity the loggia and the palace of the Provveditori (fifteenth century)
